While your little one is celebrated, mothers and parents remain present throughout the session. This is not a drop off studio portrait. It is a reflection of connection, personality, and the rhythm of your everyday life together.
Your gallery will focus on interaction and expression, supported by a small number of child only portraits and thoughtful details to preserve this age fully.
For first birthdays, we conclude with a simple, elevated cake moment that feels natural rather than performative.
Sessions take place in your home or outdoors in natural light, allowing the environment to feel organic and true to your family.
Each experience includes personalized wardrobe guidance and a custom moodboard to create a cohesive, timeless result.
Milestone sessions are typically reserved several months in advance, especially for first birthday celebrations.
A limited number of milestone sessions are accepted each season to ensure a thoughtful, personalized experience for every family.

THE EXPERIENCE

Step I — The Introduction
Milestone sessions are typically photographed around six months when your baby is sitting independently, or near their first birthday as personality and movement fully emerge.
Many families choose to reserve these sessions at the time of their maternity or newborn experience to ensure availability during these fleeting windows.
Inquiring early is highly encouraged, especially for first birthday celebrations, as availability each season is intentionally limited.
Once your date is secured with a signed agreement and retainer, your experience begins with intentional planning, wardrobe guidance, and a custom moodboard to create a cohesive, elevated result.
Step II — The Planning Process
We begin with a private consultation call to discuss your vision, your aesthetic, and what this season of motherhood feels like right now, both emotionally and literally within the time of year you are in.
Every session begins with intention.
You will receive a customized style guide and moodboard created specifically for your family and chosen location. We thoughtfully consider light, textures, movement, wardrobe, color palette, and the seasonal landscape to shape the emotional tone your gallery will hold.
I guide you through what to wear, how to prepare your home or outdoor setting, and how to approach the session with ease. If siblings are involved, we discuss age appropriate expectations so the experience feels natural rather than forced.
The goal is never perfection. The goal is connection.
As your baby approaches this milestone stage, we confirm timing based on developmental readiness, the season you wish to document, and your desired birthday window to ensure the session captures this chapter beautifully and authentically.
Step III — The Session

Sessions are relaxed and unhurried. I work with natural light and subtle direction, allowing interaction and personality to unfold organically. You will be guided through movement and connection in a way that feels effortless, never posed or performative.
We document the small, meaningful details that define this stage. Sitting confidently on their own. Wide, uninhibited smiles. Curious fingers reaching for your face. Thumb sucking. The way they press into your chest. The position of your hands as you hold them now compared to months ago.
We may capture breastfeeding, quiet diaper changes, reading a favorite story together, early steps taken while holding your fingers, or the way they steady themselves against you. These are the gestures that will one day feel impossibly small and sacred.
We focus on:
- Mother and child connection
- Family interaction and play
- Expression and emerging personality
- A select number of refined child only portraits
- An optional, elevated cake moment for first birthdays
For first birthday celebrations, sessions are thoughtfully divided to honor both connection and celebration. We begin with approximately thirty minutes focused on mother and family interaction, capturing movement, play, and the bond you share. The final thirty minutes allow time for an outfit change and a simple, elevated cake moment that feels natural rather than overstimulating.
No themed sets. No overstimulation. Only intentional, artful storytelling rooted in this season of becoming.
Step IV — Artwork & Delivery
Following your session, your images are thoughtfully refined and presented in a private online gallery for viewing and selection. You will have the opportunity to choose the images that speak most deeply to your heart and select the collection that best preserves your story; whether through digital imagery or heirloom albums crafted to be treasured for generations.
