The Lifestyle Newborn Session

Motherhood-Centered Newborn Photography in Connecticut

Preserve the intimacy of your baby’s earliest days through a refined, connection driven newborn experience.

These sessions are designed to document your family as you are becoming, with depth, softness, and intention.

No props.

No forced posing.

Only honest artistry.

Mothers are present in nearly every frame, as you are the center of this story. Your gallery will focus on connection, supported by a select number of solo and detail images to fully capture this season.

Feeding moments, quiet bath time rituals, and the natural rhythms of early motherhood are welcomed and beautifully documented.

Sessions take place in the comfort of your home, where natural light and meaningful spaces shape the aesthetic. During the summer months, outdoor sessions are also available.

Each experience includes personalized wardrobe guidance and a custom moodboard to ensure a cohesive, elevated result.

Newborn sessions are reserved during your second trimester to secure space around your due date.

THE EXPERIENCE

Connecticut Maternity Photographer

Step I — The Introduction

Submit your pregnancy details through the contact page shortly after your 12-week appointment to reserve your Connecticut lifestyle newborn photography session.

Newborn portraits are typically photographed within the first two weeks after birth, when your baby is still in those quiet, curled, early days. Scheduling in advance allows flexibility around your delivery while ensuring space is held for your family.

Once your session is secured with a signed agreement and retainer, your personalized experience begins with intentional planning, wardrobe guidance, and thoughtful preparation for your home.

Step II — The Planning Process

We begin with a private consultation call to discuss your vision, aesthetic, and what this season of motherhood means to you.

Every session begins with intention.

You will receive a customized style guide and moodboard designed specifically for your family and your home. We will consider light, textures, colors, wardrobe, and the emotional tone of your gallery.

I guide you through what to wear, how to prepare your space, and how to set realistic expectations for siblings. The goal is never perfection. The goal is presence.

Once your due date approaches, we remain in close communication so we can tentatively reserve space around your delivery window.

Step III — The Session

Lifestyle newborn sessions typically take place within the first two weeks after birth, though there is flexibility depending on your recovery and preferences.

Sessions are calm and unhurried. I work with natural light and gentle direction, allowing moments to unfold organically. You will be guided with subtle adjustments that create emotional, refined imagery without ever feeling posed or stiff.

We focus on:

• Mother and baby connection

• Family intimacy

• Sibling interactions

• Quiet individual portraits of your newborn

No props. No forced positions. Only honest, artful storytelling.

Step IV — Artwork & Delivery

Following your session, your images are thoughtfully refined and presented in a private online gallery for viewing and selection. You will have the opportunity to choose the images that speak most deeply to your heart and select the collection that best preserves your story; whether through digital imagery or heirloom albums crafted to be treasured for generations.

For families desiring something tangible, Heirloom Fine Art Albums are available. These pieces are designed to live in your home and in your children’s hands one day. Digital files are convenient. Printed artwork is legacy.

WORDS FROM MOTHERS

Alicia is amazing! My husband and I are not the couple to be comfortable in front of a camera, that is the beauty of Alicia’s work.

It never felt like there was a camera there. It was the most natural and relaxed photoshoot and every single shot was stunning! She has an incredible eye and edge, she got our vision and made it better than we could imagine. She is a true artist! Will most certainly be using her for all of our family shoots and big milestones in the future.
